  1. Cerner reported $172.3 million in net earnings for the first quarter of 2021, up 17 percent from $147.2 million during the same period last year.

  2. Google will double the size of its artificial intelligence ethics team in the next few years, following controversy over Google's treatment of whistleblowers critical of its AI approach.
