Google Cloud, NTT Data developing solutions to improve patient experience, cut healthcare costs

Google Cloud and NTT Data Services, a Plano, Texas-based IT services provider, have partnered to use advanced technology to improve patient experience and reduce costs and inefficiencies for healthcare plans and providers.

Together, the companies will develop solutions that use cloud, analytics and artificial intelligence technologies to provide healthcare organizations with insights and recommendations to improve outcomes and create more efficient operations, ultimately leading to reductions in costs.

The resulting innovations, according to Alan Hughes, president of global healthcare and life sciences at NTT Data Services, will not only use clinical data to provide new insights and decision-making support and improve care quality and outcomes, but will also "create a healthcare experience similar to the retail models that consumers expect."
