1. American Well entered into a partnership with Netsmart, a health IT vendor focused on behavioral health, social services and post-acute markets, the companies announced Jan. 9.

2. Two analysts recently released reports emphasizing the need for Cerner's new CEO to retain the company's veteran leadership.

3. DaVita, a Denver-based dialysis services provider, entered into a collaboration with Epic to add capabilities to DaVita Physician Solutions' chronic kidney disease EHR, DaVita announced Jan. 11.
