Former Kaiser Permanente CIO joins Innovaccer's Strategic Advisory Council

Innovaccer, a healthcare data platform company, added Phil Fasano to its Strategic Advisory Council.

Mr. Fasano is currently the CEO at Bay Advisors, which offers guidance to health systems and startups on how to create and market technologies. He formerly spent eight years as executive vice president and CIO at Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente. He was also the first executive vice president and global CIO of American International Group, an insurance company.

Mr. Fasano is equipped with 20-plus years of healthcare and financial services experience. He is also the author of "Transforming Health Care: The Financial Impact of Technology, Electronic Tools, and Data Mining."

Mr. Fasano joins several healthcare heavyweights on Innovaccer's Strategic Advisory Council, including Stephen K. Klasko, MD, president and CEO of Philadelphia-based Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health, and Glenn Steele Jr., MD, former president and CEO of Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger.
