Tampa, Fla.-based WellCare Health Plans appointed Darren Ghanayem vice president and CIO.
In this role, Mr. Ghanayem will oversee and advance the payer's technological capabilities to support growth and innovation.
Mr. Ghanayem joins WellCare after spending more than 15 years with Indianapolis-based Anthem, most recently serving as vice president of business transformation for the payer.
The appointment is effective Monday.
