The fourth annual FedHealthIT Innovation Awards named 26 winning programs from various federal agencies during an awards ceremony held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., June 12.
The contest, sponsored by Accenture, honored teams from CMS, FDA, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and U.S. Defense Health Agency, among other federal agencies, that had developed innovative health IT programs.
The selected programs included the U.S. Defense Health Agency's patient portal for military hospitals and clinics, the HHS Health Resources & Services Administration's telehealth resource center and the VA's genetic diagnostic testing system that delivers genetic test results via mobile app.
