Here are 10 recent news updates on health IT companies.

1. Precision Medicine Group, a specialized services company supporting precision drug development and commercialization, reached an agreement for a $275 million investment.

2. Castlight Health, a health navigation platform that connects health vendors, benefits resources and plan designs, completed new partnerships with five digital health companies and 26 new customers in its third quarter of 2017.

3. Epic is looking to expand its work on a comprehensive EHR that emphasizes social care with a project based in Finland.

4. Google unveiled plans to open an artificial intelligence center in China during a software developer conference in Shanghai Dec. 13.

5. Epic plans to release a new EHR version, called Sonnet, in March 2018.

6. Zane Burke, the president of Cerner, sold $3.5 million in stock Dec. 20, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission 

7. Curisium, a healthcare technology company that offering a blockchain-based platform, raised $3.5 million in seed financing.

8. Cerner filed a protest with Illinois' chief procurement office for higher education over its $62 million, seven-year contract awarded to Epic for the EHR overhaul at Chicago-based University of Illinois Health, alleging the bidding process was unfair and tainted by a possible conflict of interest.

9. The technology company Exelus built an application that leverages Microsoft's HoloLens for telemedicine use and plans to demonstrate its capabilities at the Consumer Technology Association's 2018 Consumer Electronics Show.

10. InTouch Health and Vivify Health are partnering to integrate Vivify Health's remote care management solutions with InTouch Health's telehealth platform.
