Here are five recent news updates on key health IT companies.

1. NewYork-Presbyterian selected athenahealth's EHR, practice management and patient engagement services for its physician medical groups.

2. Cerner, McKesson, Siemens, Epic and GE Healthcare, were among the 10 health IT vendors with the highest reported revenue last year and listed on Healthcare Informatics 100 list.

3. UMass Memorial Health Care, based in Worcester, Mass., plans to switch to Epic's EHR platform.

4. athenahealth launched athenaText, a secure messaging platform that fully integrates with the vendor's EHR platform.

5. As of July 1, McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Ohio, has been live on Epic's EHR platform.
