Here are six recent news updates on health IT companies:

1. Cerner invested $266 million in the parent company of Lumeris, a value-based care management provider, as part of a 10-year agreement to combine the companies' technologies and services.

2. Verona, Wis.-based Epic purchased the famous outdoor carousel and whimsical art pieces from the historic Ella's Deli — a restaurant in Madison, Wis., that closed in January after 41 years.

3. InstaMed's patient payment integration tool is now available in the Epic App Orchard, the healthcare payment solution provider confirmed July 10.

4. IBM Watson Health entered into a co-development agreement with French medical imaging company Guerbet to create software solutions for liver cancer care, IBM confirmed July 10.

5. Microsoft unveiled a project to expand internet access in rural areas July 2 as part of a broadband initiative the company said has implications for healthcare delivery.

6. Chelsea Clinton recently joined the board of Nurx, a San Francisco-based telemedicine and reproductive health startup.
