Here are eight recent news updates on key health IT companies.

1.  Cerner has selected BlueCat, a provider of DNS, DHCP and IP address management, to manage the IT vendor's data centers.

2. Madison, Wis.-based Redox, a tech startup formed in 2014, developed an API and "successfully integrated" its interface with Epic and Cerner.

3. Each month, Google notifies customers of 4,000 state-sponsored cyberattacks.

4. Apple has partnered with the University of Napoli Federico II in Naples, Italy, to develop the iOS Developer Academy, a nine-month program designed to prepare students' software development skills.

5. In efforts to enhance care for patients with diabetes, athenahealth is partnering with the YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program, integrating its EHR with the program to better deliver healthcare services.

6. The Department of Defense has increased the value of the contract modification awarded to Leidos, Cerner and Accenture to host the DOD's EHR in Cerner's own data centers to $73.7 million, up from the original $50.7 million add-on.

7. Cerner's new Trails Campus will not only have an innovative interior, but also a specially selected exterior that will reflect the city's four seasons.

8. Hartford (Conn.) HealthCare launched its Epic help desk, staffed with expertise from Stoltenberg Consulting.
