Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health is partnering with Babyscripts, a mobile, clinical solution that enables obstetrics and gynecology physicians to remotely monitor their pregnant patients.

Together, the two entities are launching a pilot program that allows obstetrics and gynecology physicians to monitor gestational diabetes remotely. Around 100 diabetic patients from Cone Health's Center for Women's Healthcare will have the option to sign up for remote monitoring.

The pilot program patients will use the Babyscripts app to input and transmit blood sugar levels from their glucometers. This information will be relayed to Cone Health physicians immediately. Additionally, the platform features daily reminders to patients to report sugar levels and in-app education as well as counseling for diabetes.

The pilot program will begin in February 2018.
