Community Memorial Health Stystem almost all electronic with orders and physician notes

According to a press release, Ventura County, California-based Community Memorial Health System now has 98 percent of all orders and physician notes in electronic format.

The health system attributes it's success to use of mobile technology. PatientKeeper, Inc., an electronic healthcare application company, provided PatientKeeper CPOE and PatientKeeper NoteWriter to the health system, according to the press release.

Stanley Frochtzwajg, MD and CMHS's Chief Medical Officer noted about the technology in the press release.

"They are able to see consults, orders and other documents immediately - and everything is legible," he said. "Just as important, our nurses and pharmacists are thrilled to have instanct access."

The press release also stated that the use of this technology has given the hospital a competitive edge in attracting physicians to work at CMHS.
