Community Health Center Association of Connecticut taps AristaMD eConsults technology

The Community Health Center Association of Connecticut will deploy AristaMD technology across its member federally qualified health centers. Initially, the organization will implement the technology at five centers, with plans to expand to all 16 centers by the end of 2017.

CHCACT will deploy AristaMD's Smart Care Platform, which will enable primary care physicians across the state to access clinical work-up checklists as well as conduct eConsults with AristaMD's national panel of specialists.

The initial roll out to five CHCACT health centers will help serve more than 120,000 Connecticut residents, while the eventual statewide implementation will reach approximately 300,000 across 97 sites.

"Our patients, 63 percent of whom are covered by Medicaid, will gain expanded access to much-needed specialty care. Our providers will be better able to treat their patients as 'whole people' while also benefiting from additional knowledge and experience. Lastly, our state government will realize significant cost savings by decreasing avoidable emergency room visits and inpatient stays," said Rob Rioux, network director of CHCACT.
