PerfectServe provides hospitals with voice, online and mobile communications solutions that allow clinicians to more easily communicate with one another, providing for more efficient patient care. In his new role, Dr. Takla will be able to advise PerfectServe on the issues emergency rooms face in communications and overcrowding.
“I’m happy to be able to contribute to PerfectServe, which has played a major role in our initiatives to reduce crowding and optimize available capacity,” Dr. Takla said in the release.
Dr. Takla has worked to improve patient flow in the St. John emergency room, which has seen a 15 percent increase in visits over the last two years. “Better communications among physicians and clinicians is a key to process improvements and one of the cornerstones of patient safety and patient satisfaction,” he said.
