Robert Tagalicod, director of CMS’ Office of e-Health Standards and Services, provided the committee with data regarding electronic health records and meaningful use. Data indicate that of 2,383 physicians and other eligible professionals who have attested for meaningful use, 137 were unsuccessful. One hundred hospitals have attested successfully.
