Health insurer Cigna developed an application that offers guidance and resources during pregnancy, aiming to reduce the number of preterm and low birth weight babies.

The Cigna Healthy Pregnancy app, developed in conjunction with Wildflower Health, connects users to its suite of health offerings for pregnant women, including the Cigna Healthy Pregnancies, Healthy Babies maternity health engagement program. The program offers several services to members, including access to a health coach and an audio library with maternity and general health information.

The app offers direct connection to Cigna Healthy Pregnancies, Healthy Babies program resources as well as personalized content with daily and weekly milestones, health alerts, and cost and quality tools.

The app will be available to eligible customers in January 2019.
