Julie Spitzer -

The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives recognized three healthcare leaders with awards that highlighted their efforts to collaborate, partner and contribute to the industry.

Here are the three individuals CHIME honored.

1. Deborah Gash, vice president and CIO of Kansas City, Mo.-based Saint Luke's Health System, and Brentwood, Tenn.-based HCTec were awarded the Collaboration Award. To address issues within its workforce, Saint Luke's teamed up with HCTec and together, they developed and implemented a strategy that reduced turnover and increased morale and productivity.

2. Connection, a Merrimack, N.H.-based health IT company, was given the Foundation Partner Award. Connection was selected as for its efforts pairing healthcare customers with technology solutions and developing a number of processes, services and tools to meet their needs.

3. Dana Sellers, co-founder and former CEO of Encore Health Resources, was recognized with the Foundation Industry Leader Award —  the highest honor CHIME gives to a CHIME Foundation firm member. Ms. Sellers has been a champion for EHR strategy and health IT for her 30 yearslong career and has been praised by the CIOs she served and staff she oversaw.
