The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives' Opioid Task Force created a fundraising campaign to support the CHIME Opioid Health IT Action Center.
The CHIME Opioid Health IT Action Center is a newly established web-based repository of resources and knowledge related to the opioid crisis for healthcare organizations.
Launched earlier this year, the CHIME Opioid Task Force aims to leverage CHIME members' knowledge and expertise to share IT-based solutions for the opioid crisis. Thus far, the task force has hosted three webinars on best practices for fighting the crisis and established subcommittee to write a playbook for CIOs.
The fundraising campaign, which was launched Nov. 1 at the 2018 CHIME Fall CIO Forum in San Diego, has already raised $130,000 in commitments.
