Children's Mercy Kansas City (Mo.) and Boston-based Joslin Diabetes Center will deploy predictive models for Type 1 diabetes management using technology from Cambridge, Mass.-based Cyft.
Cyft technology uses machine learning and natural language processing to analyze disparate data sources — including patients' EMRs — to create predictive models for health professionals. Children's Mercy and Joslin Diabetes Center will deploy the models to detect at-risk patients in need of intervention.
The three-year project, funded by a grant from the Helmsley Charitable Trust, will begin at Children's Mercy and Joslin Diabetes Center mid-2017.
