HIMSS attendees will be able to see a demonstration of the EHR Cerner is developing for the Department of Defense.
The Kansas City, Mo.-based vendor will showcase the off-the-shelf system and certain military-specific workflows in the software.
Cerner, along with Leidos and Accenture, won the $4.3 billion contract for the Defense Healthcare Management Systems Modernization project in July.
"The partnership's work across the past several months to deploy an open, secure and modern electronic health record to the DoD will have significant benefits for the entire Cerner client base and the broader healthcare industry," said Cerner President Zane Burke. "Our collaborative effort has led to solution enhancements and data portability that are essential to achieving the free flow of information across all venues of care and creating a system that works for healthcare organizations working to improve the well-being of individuals and communities.
