Cerner, McKesson, Epic among top 25 vendors in IDC Health Tech Rankings

IDC Health Insights released its inaugural HealthTech Rankings, identifying the vendors with the highest revenues. The Top 25 rankings highlight companies that derive more than one-third of their revenue from healthcare payers and providers, and key health IT vendors like Cerner, McKesson, GE Healthcare and Epic all made the cut.

Optum, a subsidiary of Minnetonka, Minn.-based UnitedHealth Group, took the No. 1 spot. Kansas City, Mo.-based Cerner came in second.

Here are the top 10 on the list:

3. McKesson

4. GE Healthcare

5. Epic Systems

6. Allscripts

7. Nuance Communications

8. athenahealth

9. Agfa HealthCare

10. Premier

IDC Health Insights also released the Enterprise Top 25, identifying companies that derive les than one-third of their revenues from healthcare payer or providers. IBM took the No. 1 spot on that list.
