In this new position, Dr. Bates will foster and support innovation and collaboration to improve patient care and care delivery cross the hospital.
Dr. Bates previously served as chief quality officer of Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He also currently serves as chief of the division of general medicine and primary care, is a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School in Boston and a professor of health policy and management at Harvard School of Public Health.
