Booz Allen Hamilton awarded $202M CMS contract

CMS has awarded Booz Allen Hamilton a $202 million, five-year contract to become the Marketplace System Integrator for the online federal exchanges.

As MSI, Booz Allen Hamilton will lead governance and technical coordination of the exchanges and will deliver new functions, improvements and changes to the technology and processes to manage the operations of all marketplace systems.

"In the role as systems integrator, Booz Allen will work closely with a broad set of stakeholders across CMS, other federal agencies, state entities and issuers to coordinate the implementation of the federally-facilitated Marketplaces so that American citizens will continue to receive high-quality, affordable health insurance through the marketplace," said Kristine Martin Anderson, executive vice president of Booz Allen.
