OmiseGo, a finance-focused blockchain company, is the latest organization to join the Universal Protocol Alliance, a coalition of blockchain and cryptocurrency companies, according to the Cointelegraph.
The startup will incorporate the Universal Protocol Platform digital token into its existing payment processing technology. Universal Protocol Alliance hopes that this partnership will help support mass adoption of blockchain technology.
Additionally, OmiseGo partnered with Hydro Labs, and open-source blockchain project, reports the Cointelegraph. The two will work to streamline Hydro Labs' Ethereum-based transactions.
The partnership between OmiseGo and Hydro Labs aims to introduce real-worldapplications of plasma chain technology for everyday payments, according to the report.
