The Daily Beat blog written by the editors of Becker's Hospital Review has been named one of the top 50 health IT blogs of 2014 by CDW Healthcare, a technology solutions provider.

CDW states on its website that the list is a way to honor everyone sharing their "knowledge and enthusiasm for health IT" during National Health IT Week. The company selected blogs that it feels offer unique perspectives and "thought-provoking and valuable content."

Health IT topics tackled in the Daily Beat include Apple, IBM and Epic's growing dominance in the arena as they set aside their rivalries. For instance, this summer, Apple and IBM announced they would collaborate on a new set of business-facing mobile apps for iOS.
