Baystate Health's TechSpring taps InterSystems for interoperability

Jessica Kim Cohen -

TechSpring, a healthcare technology innovation center created by Springfield, Mass.-based Baystate Health, launched a new software development service.

TechSpring provides its technology partners — including Cerner, Imprivata and NTT Data — with healthcare data to help the companies test their application connectivity, data management and device services. The new software development service, built on the InterSystems HealthShare interoperability platform, will give these companies access to interoperable data and actionable analytics solutions.

"We strongly support the efforts led by TechSpring to enable third-party application developers to leverage healthcare data," said Qi Li, MD, director of innovation at InterSystems. "We're encouraged to see the industry continuing to evolve towards data democratization so that advanced technology can help organizations transform healthcare."
