Bain: College grads, foreign jobseekers to end drought of analytics workers

The supply of workers with advanced analytics skills is expected to double from late 2018 to late 2020, according to a Bain & Co. report featured in The Wall Street Journal.

Candidates from India will lead the charge: Bain estimates more than 200,000 IT professionals from India will be seeking analytics work by the end of 2020, up from 65,000 in late 2018. The Bain report also expects U.S. companies to begin outsourcing more analytics work to foreign countries as the number of work visas declines.
