Athenahealth teamed up with Therapeutic Research Center, or TRC Healthcare, to offer medication therapy clinical resources and advisory articles to users of its Epocrates mobile application.

Epocrates users will have access to three clinical articles from the latest Prescriber's Letter issue, published by TRC Healthcare, as well as three supporting clinical resources. Clinicians will be able to access the articles and resources via the DocAlert feature in the Epocrates app. Articles are written by clinical pharmacists and peer-reviewed by industry thought leaders as well as physicians and advanced practitioners.

This latest collaboration between athenahealth and TRC Healthcare builds on an earlier partnership, created in 2015, which gave app users access to certain portions of TRC's Natural Medicines database, a store of 160,000-plus commercial products.

"We're excited to offer Prescriber's Letter content through the Epocrates curation and targeting engines, delivering clinically meaningful content directly into the hands of clinicians," said Anne Meneghetti, MD, executive director of Epocrates medical information at athenahealth.
