Apple taps Prince Harry, Oprah Winfrey for mental health docuseries

Prince Harry and Orpah Winfrey will release a mental health documentary series on Apple's video streaming platform in 2020, CNN reports.

The multipart docuseries will focus on mental health and mental wellness. Prince Harry and Ms. Winfrey serve as partners, co-creators and executive producers on the project.

"I truly believe that good mental health — mental fitness — is the key to powerful leadership, productive communities and a purpose-driven self," Prince Harry said in a news release. "It is a huge responsibility to get this right as we bring you the facts, the science and the awareness of a subject that is so relevant during these times."

Prince Harry launched a mental health awareness campaign in 2017 called "Heads Together." The organization also leads various mental health charities that provide support for individuals affected by mental illness.

Ms. Winfrey signed a multiyear partnership in June to create original content for Apple. She is a producer, actress, talk show host and CEO of the Oprah Winfrey Network.
