For the survey, Venrock polled 300 respondents from provider organizations, academic institutions, insurance companies, health IT startups, larger employers, government agencies and investment firms about their healthcare predictions for 2018.

- Some growth: 41 percent
- No growth: 4 percent
- Growth declines: 1 percent
EHRs
- Rapid growth: 3 percent
- Some growth: 46 percent
- No growth: 42 percent
- Growth declines: 9 percent
Telemedicine
- Rapid growth: 41 percent
- Some growth: 53 percent
- No growth: 5 percent
- Growth declines: 0 percent
