Ambra Health unveils RADxx initiative to encourage female leadership in digital health, informatics

Jessica Kim Cohen -

New York City-based Ambra Health is slated to launch its RAD Women initiative, also known as RADxx, later this month.

The initiative, which aims to facilitate networking and mentorship opportunities for women in digital health and informatics, was conceived by radiologist Geraldine McGinty, MD, and Ambra Health CMO Mini Peiris. RAD Women will target women in informatics and IT management of radiology systems, in an effort to increase female representation in the field. In the annual Commission on Human Resources Workforce Survey, the American College of Radiology found only 21 percent of practicing radiologists were women.

Ambra Health will roll out the initiative at a reception during the Radiological Society of North America Annual Meeting, which takes place Nov. 27 to Dec. 2.
