Here are nine recent news updates on health IT companies.

1. A team at Verily Life Sciences is developing a prototype for a less invasive type of blood draw.

2. Amazon's cloud computing division, Amazon Web Services, is teaming up with Kaleido, a recently launched startup, to give AWS customers easy access to blockchain technology.

3. Cerner entered into a collaborative agreement with Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation, a nonprofit that provides comprehensive rehabilitation data.

4. Change Healthcare introduced InterQual 2018, the latest edition of its flagship clinical decision support solution.

5. Clover Health, a healthcare data and technology company, established an in-home primary care program that features genomic testing integration capabilities.

6. Epic registered with a new lobbying firm, Mehlman Castagnetti Rosen & Thomas, according to a disclosure filed in April.

7. Elliott Management said athenahealth hasn't engaged in acquisition talks since the investment management firm made its nearly $7 billion all-cash offer May 7.

8. Qventus, an operations management company that leverages artificial intelligence in its healthcare solutions, raised $30 million in its latest round of funding, with help from Bessemer Venture Partners and participation from New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

9. Microsoft launched a program to fund artificial intelligence research that supports people with disabilities.
