1. Health IT security company Imprivata has partnered with Verato, a patient identity-matching solutions provider, on a patient identity-management platform.

2. IBM is on track to spend $1 billion on artificial intelligence-focused jobs over the next decade.

9. Within the technology and financial sectors, IBM and JPMorgan Chase, respectively, are seeking the most candidates for blockchain positions.

10. Amazon unveiled plans to expand its Austin, Texas-based offices, creating 800 new technology jobs.

11. Google is looking to simplify its robotics program by honing in on the development of machine-learning bots that can perform basic tasks.
