Allscripts will collaborate with Conversa, an automated patient conversation platform, to improve its patient engagement and care coordination services.
Under the partnership, the Allscripts customer base of more than 2,500 hospitals and health systems will gain access to Conversa's conversation platform, which automates personalized conversations with patients based on a library of clinical responses to conditions like asthma, diabetes and hypertension.
The goal is to help patients with chronic conditions manage their care between visits and improve communication related to health experiences. Allscripts will also integrate the Conversa solution into its patient-facing CareInMotion population health management platform.

The partnership also includes a long-term commercial distribution agreement and Allscripts' participation in Conversa's Series A funding round.
