Allscripts appoints CFO; athenahealth, Cerner, Meditech release full-year earnings results & more — 12 health IT keynotes

Here are 12 recent news updates on health IT companies.

1. Allscripts appointed Dennis Olis, the company's interim CFO since May 2017, to permanently remain in the position, effective Jan. 31.

2. Athenahealth released its full-year earnings results on Feb. 1, posting $1.22 billion in revenue for 2017.

3. Cerner released its full-year earnings results on Feb. 6, reporting $5.14 billion in revenue for 2017.

4. Cerner plans to hire an additional 600 employees at its North Kansas City, Mo., headquarters with help from reinvested tax breaks, CFO Marc Naughton said during an earnings call Feb. 6.

5. Cognizant Technology Solutions released its full-year earnings results on Feb. 7, posting $14.81 billion in revenue for 2017.

6. On Jan. 26, Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare became the first hospital in Saudi Arabia to implement an Epic EHR.
