A couple weeks ago, I shared insights about addressing common priorities in healthcare, often referred to as the “triple aim + 1” or the “quadruple aim.” Meeting those four objectives – improving patient satisfaction, delivering quality patient care, containing costs and increasing clinician engagement – can be challenging without the proper insight and processes in place.

I know first-hand how vexing the change process can be. In my former role as Chief Health Information Officer at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, I experienced the frustration of pulling together teams, designing and implementing process controls, then waiting to see if they had the desired effect – but never knowing for sure what exactly was working or why. Now as Chief Medical Officer at LogicStream Health, I am witnessing effective clinical process improvement in action as leading healthcare systems across the country drive changes in clinician engagement, patient safety and quality, and appropriate utilization using the LogicStream Health platform.
