Almost all healthcare providers using athenahealth's athenaOne integrated cloud-based suite successfully attested to meaningful use stage 2 in 2014.
According to a company statement, 98.2 percent of providers using athenaOne attested to meaningful use stage 2 last year. In 2013, 95.4 percent of participating providers attested to stage 1 when the national attestation rate was 59 percent, athenahealth states.
The Watertown, Mass.-based company also is extended its "Guarantee Program" to include value-based reimbursement for the Physician Quality Reporting System and Medicare Shared Savings Program. The Guarantee Program says if participating physicians don't successfully meet requirements and attestations, then they don't have to pay for the services. Currently the program is implemented for meaningful use and ICD-10.

"The power of a cloud-based service is no better illustrated than by a real-time, national network that can prompt care team action to qualify for correlated bonus payment."
