7 winning healthcare companies at Chicago Innovation Awards

Healthcare technology was well-represented among the winners of the Chicago Innovation Awards. Four out of the 10 winners were healthcare technology companies, and even more received the “Up & Comer Awards.”

Here are the seven healthcare technology companies recognized at the Chicago Innovation Awards.

  1. Baxalta for HyQvia: An at-home monthly infusion treatment for individuals with immunodeficiency (winner)
  2. Abbott’s MitraClip: Heart valve repair technology that relieves irregular blood flow (winner)
  3. Aon’s Active Health Exchange: Private insurance exchange for large corporations (winner)
  4. ContextMedia’s Exam Room Tablet: Provides information to patients in waiting rooms (winner)
  5. Opternative: Online eye exam platform (Up & Comer)
  6. King-Devick Test: An iPad app to screen athletes for concussions on the sidelines (Up & Comer)
  7. First Stop Health: Online telehealth concierge service (Up & Comer)
