5 states with highest, lowest EHR adoption by physician offices

A recent report from SK&A indicates that physician adoption of EHRs has reached a plateau, increasing from 61 percent in January 2014 to 62.8 percent in January 2015.

SK&A also outlines the top and bottom five states whose physician offices are using EHR software.

Top 5 states:

Wyoming: 73.99 percent of physician offices use EHR software.

South Dakota: 71.68 percent

Utah: 71.07 percent

Iowa: 70.21 percent

Arkansas: 69.27 percent

Bottom 5 states:

New York: 57.41 percent

New Jersey: 56.86 percent

Louisiana: 55.95 percent

District of Columbia: 55.03 percent

Rhode Island: 54.20 percent
