5 most interesting health IT partnerships this week

Hospitals and health systems teamed up with health IT companies and startups this week to develop new initiatives, technologies and innovative projects.

Here are five of the most interesting health IT partnerships and collaborations reported by Becker's Hospital Review this week.

1. Phoenix-based Banner Health entered into a multiyear agreement with Health Catalyst to implement the Health Catalyst Data Operating System across its 28 hospitals.

2. The Joint Commission selected Apervita to make it easier for accredited hospitals with ORYX data reporting requirements to submit electronic clinical quality measures in 2018.  

3. Ymir Genomics and the Knight Cancer Institute at Portland-based Oregon Health & Science University joined forces to develop urinary biomarkers that will be able to detect hepatocellular carcinoma in at-risk patients.

4. New Orleans-based LCMC Health teamed up with the newly launched Windancer Technologies, which aims to help healthcare systems implement new technology, software and services to improve patient care.

5. New York City-based Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center entered into a multiyear partnership with healthcare analytics startup Cota.
