In a survey of cybersecurity professionals around the world, 76.6 percent said their companies had experienced an increase in cyberattacks between 2013 and 2014. The majority of respondents — 82.5 percent — felt it was likely or very likely their organization would experience a cyberattack in 2015.

Here are 13 statistics on the current state of cybersecurity from the perspective of international cybersecurity professionals, representing more than 20 industries, including healthcare and insurance.

The online survey, conducted by ISACA, polled more than 1,500 individuals who work in cybersecurity, information security, technology services and financial services. Note not every respondent answered every survey question, but 650 respondents completed the survey in its entirety.
