Here are 11 recent health information technology vendor contracts and go-lives affecting healthcare organizations.

1. U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery is granting $79 million to Accenture, a digital and technology services company, to help drive improvements in health informatics, virtual health and artificial intelligence initiatives.

2. Hyannis, Mass.-based Cape Cod Healthcare will break ground on a $180 million, six-story patient care tower and begin the implementation process for a system wide Epic EHR.

3. Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth has partnered with Xsolis, a Nashville, Tenn.-based provider of predictive analytics systems for healthcare organizations, to make utilization review more efficient.

4. Carolinas Medical Center, Atrium Health's flagship hospital in Charlotte, N.C., deployed Halo's cloud-based communication platform for clinicians.

5. Marysville, Calif.-based Adventist Health + Rideout deployed a Cerner EHR system Aug. 18.

6. Laramie, Wyo.-based Ivinson Memorial Health launched an Epic EHR system Aug. 24.

7. Minneapolis-based Hitch Health and Philadelphia-based Roundtrip announced Aug. 22 a partnership to develop a non-emergency medical transportation solution featuring automated scheduling and increased accessibility.

8. Augusta-based MaineGeneral Health is expanding its contract with EHR vendor Allscripts through 2027.

9. After implementing a clinical communication care platform from Vocera Communications, Hackensack Meridian Health Jersey Shore University Medical Center reduced readmission rates among stroke patients by 50 percent.

 10. University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville is developing a mobile wayfinding platform with Gozio Health that will help patients navigate a total of 6.5 million square feet across the health system.

11. IBM and Department of Veterans Affairs partnered to develop a digital platform for veterans, active-duty service members and reservists that offers brain assessments and mind training to help individuals understand and strengthen their mental health, social connections and well-being.
