Volume, Physicians Increase at Meadowlands Hospital in N.J. Since Investor Group Took Over

Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center in Secaucus, N.J., has seen an increase in patient volume and board-certified physicians since private investor group MHA bought the hospital last year, according to a NorthJersey.com report.

MHA purchased Meadowlands for $17.5 million with the stipulations that it remain an acute-care facility for seven years, retain community members on its board and continue the same services and staffing levels.

In addition to the growing number of patients and physicians, the hospital has hired more than 120 new employees, provided free ambulance care and set up a clinic within the town, according to the report.
