T-System, a provider of health IT solutions for episodic and emergency care, is partnering with Presidiohealth, an emergent care solutions company, to create an integrated technology platform aimed at driving efficiencies in business operations for freestanding emergency centers.

The platform, FSEC FOUNDATION, will combine T-System's full electronic Emergency Department Information System solution and Presidiohealth's suite of practice management tools, according to a news release.

More specifically, the platform will incorporate T-System's best-of-breed EDIS solution set, which includes nursing documentation, physician documentation, tracking, computerized physician order entry, as well as fully integrated labs and diagnostics. Presidiohealth's practice management tools include patient registration, point of service solutions, patient financial services and coding and charge capture.

Robert Hitchcock, MD, chief strategy officer for T-System, expressed excitement about the partnership with Presidiohealth.

"We have an incredible opportunity to not only expand our services and grow our business, but also give freestanding emergency centers the ability to scale and deliver unmatched care to patients that walk through their doors," he said in a prepared statement. "Varying acuity levels and a fast-paced environment leave little room for physicians to be burdened by insufficient technology...We are confident that this ... solution will change the way care is delivered among freestanding emergency centers."
