Surgical Notes names chief technology officer: 5 things to know

Revenue cycle solutions provider Surgical Notes named Nathan Hess chief technology officer.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Hess.

1. He has more than 15 years of healthcare, IT and business experience, according to Surgical Notes.

2. Mr. Hess previously was senior director of information technology operational excellence at DaVita Rx, and a vice president of business operations at American International Group.

3. He also previously worked in leadership roles at Dell and Perot Systems.

4. In his new role, Mr. Hess will help with technology decisions and oversee the company's various technology-related functions, said Surgical Notes.

5. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Lubbock-based Texas Tech University, with a focus on management information systems. He is working on a master's degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
