S&P Global Ratings revised Boston-based Massachusetts Ear and Eye's outlook to negative from stable.

"The negative outlook reflects our view of MEE's continued operating losses, by our calculation, and weak coverage of pro forma maximum annual debt service" said S&P analyst Jennifer Soule.

The ratings agency also affirmed the "BBB-" long-term rating on the institution's series 2010 hospital revenue bonds.
