S&P raises rating for Columbus Regional Healthcare to 'A+'

S&P Global Ratings raised its rating for Columbus (Ga.) Regional Healthcare System from "BBB-" to "A+."

The upgrade reflects Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare's acquisition of Columbus Regional.

The rating outlook is stable, and both the rating and outlook for Columbus Regional are now tied to the rating and outlook for Piedmont.
