“The rating continues to reflect our opinion of UHS’ growing business position as the area’s only academic medical center and leading trauma provider in a competitive market, fairly stable balance sheet during the past two fiscal years and relatively young average age of plant,” said S&P analyst Brian Williamson.
S&P also affirmed the “BBB+” rating on UHS’ series 2007 revenue bonds.
The outlook is stable, reflecting S&P’s view of UHS’ solid business position, fair debt service coverage and satisfactory liquidity.
