Jackson, Mich.-based Henry Ford Allegiance Health President and CEO Georgia Fojtasek is set to retire July 31, and she's giving $1 million to the hospital's foundation, according to MLive.

The $1 million will go toward a legacy project Ms. Fojtasek and her husband created called "30 and Counting." The donation will be split between several funds, including those that provide financial help to staff and fund innovative advances in patient care, according to the report.

"It is impossible to quantify the difference Georgia and (her husband) Travis have made to this community over the last three decades," Ford Allegiance Health Foundation Board Chairman David Craft said in a statement to MLive. "They truly are an inspiration."
