Private equity firm acquires Aspirion Health Resources: 4 things to know

Aquiline Capital Partners acquired Aspirion Health Resources.

Here are four things to know about the deal:

1. Aquiline Capital Partners is a private equity firm based in New York City. Aspirion, founded in 2012, is a revenue cycle management company offering complex claims solutions to U.S. healthcare organizations.

2. Through the acquisition, Aquiline will support Aspirion's growth and allow it to expand its product offerings. The company's clients include regional hospitals and physician groups, as well as large, multistate health systems.

3. Jeff Greenberg, chairman and CEO of Aquiline, said of the deal: "We have long viewed healthcare as a natural extension of Aquiline's established expertise in the insurance, billing, and payments industries. Given Aspirion's focus on payments from property and casualty payers, we are excited to leverage our deep experience with these payers to help Aspirion meet healthcare providers' toughest revenue challenges, and we see significant opportunities to create growth."

4. Lori Lipocky, CEO of Aspirion, helms the management team; Aquiline appointed healthcare veteran Michael O'Boyle executive chairman.
